Why did you join the Stop Fascism Action Network?: I'm running for U.S. Congress in 2010, CA 1st District as a Green but in the Democratic primary. I'm setting up the Virtual Candidate Project to help people train themselves to run for office. The Climate Crisis requires a redesign of our entire economy, and that requires leadership from the people and the ousting of all the psychopaths, malignant narcissists and fascists who hold the reigns of power. We have no more time to lose!

Tell us about yourself: I'm a white blood cell of the Earth, I realized at age 11 while watching the Santa Barbara Oil Spill on TV in 1969. Ever since, ecological activism has been my calling. I am a founder of the Green political movement in the U.S., an Earth First! organizer since 1985, the founder of the U.S. climate crisis direct action movement Climate Action NOW! (and coined Al Gore's favorite meme "climate crisis" in 1996, as a response to him and Clinton selling out the people of the world and the planet to the Fossil Fools industries).

I've never called Bush the president. The Supreme Court and Republican Party installed him in a coup, and if we expect to change anything significantly in this world, we must face the fact that our government is run by fascists who are almost all psychopaths or malignant narcissists. We must prosecute these people for treason and crimes against humanity. The only solution is to start training ourselves to take over the reigns of power, which is why I founded the Virtual Candidate Project.

I'm also an Earth First! videographer and musical archivist and the founder of the Gaiabilly movement of eco-activist music. It will be the musical subculture for the climate crisis/great green conversion revolution–a war effort to convert from fossil fuels and nuclear to bioregionally-oriented sustainable economies in ten years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 90% before 2020. I host a KMUD radio program with and for homeless people. It's called "The Least Among Us."

According to Australian scientist Tim Flannery, I was the only person in the world to warn of the break-up of the Larsen Ice Shelf, and am still the only person warning that the entire West Antarctic ice sheet is likely to break in our lifetime, resulting in a sea level increase of 20 feet and the end of civilization.

This is why I must run for Congress and win in 2010. I'm running on an anti-fascist platform.
